The first chapter

Give the night a story.

Create an encrypted account vault and build a Demon, Vampire, Wraith, Hunter, Mage, Changeling or Werewolf. Enter the world with your signed character to find nearby players. Messaging is still in development.

01 / Player account

A name for the player.

Your account name is separate from your characters' names. It identifies you across the chronicles.

3–24 lowercase letters, numbers or underscores. Start with a letter.

12–256 characters. A long, memorable phrase works well. Your passphrase stays on this device.

You will save and verify a recovery file before activating your account online. Losing both your local vault and recovery file means losing access. There is no password reset.

Player account

Unlock this device's vault with your passphrase. You can unlock offline; the Storyteller Server requires a connection.

A recovery file still needs its passphrase. Your account name alone cannot restore your keys.

02 / Recovery

Keep a way back.

Your recovery file contains your encrypted account keys. Save it outside this browser, then select the saved file and prove you can open it. Signed characters can be fetched from the Storyteller Server after recovery; unfinished drafts stay on this device.

Demon creation follows its 2002 core rules with supported Players Guide options. Vampire creation follows the supplied V5 core rules. Wraith creation follows the supported W20 core profile. Hunter creation uses a standard newly Imbued profile from the classic core book. Mage creation uses the supported M20 core profile. Changeling creation uses the supported C20 core profile. Werewolf creation uses the supported Second Edition core profile. Each game keeps its own creation budgets and choices, checked before the character enters play. Azmodan crossover rolls provide a shared way to make general tests. Power resolution and later experience spending are still in development.
